How Warranties Work at GitoTech
Every product sold at shop.gitotech.com comes with the original manufacturer warranty. GitoTech is an authorized reseller for all brands we carry, which means your warranty is fully valid and backed by the manufacturer.
We do not provide separate GitoTech warranties. Your warranty coverage, duration, and terms are determined by the product manufacturer. As an authorized partner, we ensure you receive genuine products with full warranty eligibility.
Warranty Coverage by Brand
- Dell: 1-3 years depending on product line; ProSupport upgrades available. File claims at dell.com/support
- Lenovo: 1-3 years depending on product line. File claims at support.lenovo.com
- HP: 1-3 years depending on product line. File claims at support.hp.com
- Cisco / Meraki: Varies by product; Meraki hardware warranty is tied to active license. File claims at meraki.cisco.com
- Microsoft: 1 year standard for Surface devices. File claims at support.microsoft.com
- ASUS: 1-2 years depending on product. File claims at asus.com/support
- ViewSonic: 1-3 years depending on product type. File claims at viewsonic.com/support
- WatchGuard: Varies; typically tied to active security subscription. File claims at watchguard.com/support

What Manufacturer Warranties Typically Cover
- Defects in materials and workmanship
- Hardware failures under normal use
- Replacement or repair of defective components
What Manufacturer Warranties Typically Do Not Cover
- Physical damage from drops, spills, or misuse
- Damage from power surges or unauthorized modifications
- Normal wear and tear (batteries, cosmetic damage)
- Software issues or data loss
- Products purchased from unauthorized sellers (all GitoTech products are authorized - this does not apply to you)
How to Make a Warranty Claim
Within 30 days of delivery
Contact GitoTech first at shop@gitotech.com or (973) 975-0229. We can process a return or replacement directly. See our Returns and Refunds page for details.
After 30 days
Contact the manufacturer directly using the links above. You will need your product serial number and proof of purchase (your GitoTech order confirmation email serves as proof of purchase).

Extended Warranty and Support Upgrades
Some manufacturers offer extended warranty and premium support options:
- Dell ProSupport, Accidental Damage, Keep Your Hard Drive - Available for Dell business hardware
- Lenovo Premier Support, Accidental Damage Protection - Available for Lenovo ThinkPad and ThinkCentre
- HP Care Pack - Available for HP business hardware
- Cisco Meraki Licensing - Required for Meraki hardware operation and includes cloud management and support

Important Warranty Notes
- Buy from authorized resellers only. Manufacturers will not honor warranties on products purchased from unauthorized or gray market sellers. All products sold by GitoTech are sourced through authorized distribution channels (Ingram Micro and TDSynnex), guaranteeing full warranty coverage.
- Keep your order confirmation. Your GitoTech order confirmation email is your proof of purchase for warranty claims.
- Register your product. Some manufacturers require or recommend product registration for warranty service. Check the manufacturer website after receiving your product.
